Courage, strength, fortitude. Power not arrested in the act of judgement, but passing on to further action, sometimes obstinacy.
This is a card of courage and energy. It represents both the Lion's hot, roaring energy, and the Maiden's steadfast will. The innocent Maiden is unafraid, undaunted, and indomitable. In some cards she opens the lion's mouth, in others she shuts it. Either way, she proves that inner strength is more powerful than raw physical strength. That forces can be controlled and used to score a victory is very close to the message of the Chariot, which might be why, in some decks, it is Justice that is card 8 instead of Strength. With strength you can control not only the situation, but yourself. It is a card about anger and impulse management, about creative answers, leadership and maintaining one's personal honor. It can also stand for a steadfast friend.

Why is it that whenever you start something you think you can make with what you have in your stash you always end up spending an unexpected fortune to get it finished?! Result is very attractive.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the comment on my blog, I am spurred on to try a video (will have to be over Christmas me thinks) and I'll find something 'inky'! Lovely samples of Stampbord... so pleased to hear you've invested in the wonderful Crop-A-Dile, it will cut through SB like butter of a hot knife - trust me! Well done for trying the Japanese Screw Punch - a brave attempt. Before the Crop-A-Dile I used to use my husbands drill press and drill several at a time (when he wasn't looking of course). That Bubble's a cool place to craft!
ReplyDeleteLovely stampbord piece. I can't imagine how much effort you must have put in to get that hole through with the screw punch! Enjoy playing with your Crop-A-Dile when it comes but be warned it's kind of addictive and you will find yourself wanting to punch holes in everything!
ReplyDeletepeacock stamps are lovely with stampbord aren't they! You'll love the crop-o-dile - it goes thru stampbord sooo easily, only trouble i had is positioning it just right - have a collection of pieces with holes in the wrong places, awaiting inspiration for re-use. I usually stamp with versafine on the stampbord - must admit don't usually emboss, tho i deep emboss on the back to hide the no-so-pretty brown.
ReplyDeleteThanks for ytour comments on my blog, but am definitely not the right Veronica as regards anything computerwise - have enough trouble with a blog without getting into a mess with digi scrapping!!
